I posted two more tracks to MySpace. Swing With Me just started out as something to play around with but it really grew on me. I think you’ll like it. How Can I Help You? is more “country” seeping out. Not that I’ve gone country but I certainly have those influences and sometimes they just have to be let out and walked. Then someone told me they couldn’t shake that song so I figured… why not post it?

I think I might post them for download here soon. Still working out the details of how that’s going to work.

On a more serious note… I think I knocked out two of the three remaining tracks for Dreaming Of Things. I want to live with them for a few weeks to see if that’s really what I want and then we can call those done. That leaves one cut left for the CD. It’s actually already written (and has been for a long time). I’m just, again, making sure that’s what I want.. lyric changes are in place.. no vocals to redo.. no guitar changes, etc.

The bottom line is that it’s getting really close! I’m having to force myself to focus on finishing this one before I pick up the next project (since there’s about 4 waiting).

But.. it’s work I love and I’m grateful that you’re along for the ride.

This is pretty much a mirror of what I posted on MySpace but.. news is news, right?

I just got done posting a couple of new tracks to my MySpace page. “Little Girl Yesterday” is kind of the odd one out for me. It started out as more of an experiment since I don’t tend to write a lot of country-ish music (although I do tend to have those influences). But when I heard someone humming it (without it playing), I thought it might be catchier than I think. So.. there it is. For the record, it will not be on Dreaming Of Things. I also posted “Still Think About You“, which I’m pretty sure is going to be on Dreaming Of Things.

Speaking of Dreaming Of Things.. I’ve really gotten focused on making it happen. It’s a riot when I listen to what I had recorded a few years ago and what it sounds like now.  Big difference. But in a good way. I’m wrapping up the writing on one song, a couple of performances to clean up and then it’s on to final mixes. I’d love to say I’ll be there in a week but the creative process doesn’t always work on my timetable… but it’s really close.

Okay.. I have to put a plug in for a website. I’m not being paid for it. I don’t have any relationship with them other than being a customer. But I think they do a great job at providing excellent training if you’re using Logic or Pro Tools. They have a ton of other training on Mac OS, Aperture, iLife, etc. You can either buy their training or get a monthly subscription (which is what I did). Check them out at http://www.macprovideo.com

Oh.. one more thing.. Diode Melody (Rewired) is available all over the place now, thanks to my long time friends at CD Baby (they ROCK!)… iTunes, Rhapsody, etc. Go check it out.

Anyway.. if I’m ever going to get this CD to you, I need to get back to it. Keep the faith.

Now that Diode Melody (rewired) is available online at CD Baby, iTunes and a BUNCH of other places,  the big push for me is to finish Dreaming Of Things. That’s been another project that’s been lurking for a long time. I’d like to remaster Forever Roads but I’m really bad at being distracted with a hundred different projects so.. I’m focusing.

Diode Melody (Rewired) is available on iTunes and many other favorite sites!

Spent the day in a wonderful Charleston studio laying down some guitar tracks for some friends. Good times, good times.
